Book Resume
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is usually where the story of Narnia picking up. It is started when the Pevensie siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, are evacuated from London to an old Professor's house in some English countryside area, in war period around 40s. The Professor later was known as Professor Kirke was the same Diggory Kirke boy in the Narnia prequel, The Magician's Nephew.
The adventure began when they were exploring the big house, Lucy was accidentally found magic inside the big old rusty wardrobe. As she entered deeper, she found a strange unfamiliar world Narnia which was really snowy and cold. She practically stood in the middle of forest with a strange lamp post. Long story short, she met a faun or a mystical being look alike human but with sheep legs, Mr. Tumnus. They became friends immediately, it led Mr. Tumnus to call off his own initial intention to bring Lucy to Narnia evil ruler, the White Witch, who also the same person as Jadis, the ancient witch from another world. He told Lucy what horror Narnia faced these last years and asked her to leave.
Back home, her brothers and sister did not believe her story about Narnia, though Edmund followed her the other day to the wardrobe, but ended up at different area compared to Lucy's. He met the White Witch and tricked by her using turkish delight, he promised to bring his brother and sisters to her next time. Later he reunited with Lucy but denied Narnia to Peter and Susan, after learning from her the true identity of the so called queen is an evil witch.
Soon after, the siblings traveled back to Narnia together only to find Mr. Tumnus' home was destroyed. They met the Beavers who told them that Mr. Tumnus was abducted and soon-be-punished by the Witch's soldiers to Cair Paravel, the Narnia palace, due to denying that one of Two Sons of Adam's and Two Daughters of Eve's was arrived in Narnia. Turned out that the Witch was feared of an ancient prophecy of the her fall would be when Two Sons of Adam's and Two Daughters of Eve's has arrived in Narnia and Aslan would come with them.
In concise manner, Edmund went south to report to the Witch of Aslan coming which resulted her anger and chained him, while his other siblings with the Beavers met Aslan at the Stone Table. The Witch and her army arrived at the same place, which already filled with Narnians. She demanded Edmund's blood for treason, but Aslan negotiated privately with her and eventually Edmund was free from her demand and returned to his siblings.
Little did the Pevensie knew that Aslan practically 'sacrificed' himself to the Witch. The day after, felt nobody stood on her way anymore, she started the battle against the mourning Narnians believing Aslan was dead. But later on, Aslan was resurrected and alongside the good Narnians and Pevensie siblings, they won the battle and the Witch finally be dead. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy later were crowned as Kings and Queens of Narnia up until they were young adults. Eventually they left Narnia on a White Stag Hunt, and returned to our world back as children.
Main Casts
Lucy Pevensie
Cameron Seely in The Greatest Showman (2017) |
Although The Pevensies has very little chances to be described, but when they became young kings and queens, our beloved Lucy is said as a fair young woman with long blonde hair. As a child, Lucy was 8 years old when the events happened. And 13 years old Cameron Seely as a child actress quite fits the ideas.
Edmund Pevensie

With blond short hair, Edmund whose only 1 or 2 year older than Lucy, should have an annoyed facial expression (since he's constantly annoyed by his siblings). The 15 years old Maxwell Jenkins should fits the description.
Susan Pevensie

As a young adult, Susan is described as a gracious beautiful woman with long black hair, that even made many lords and kings asking her hand for marriage. Susan has always said as a girl who want to grow up fast. Lily-Rose Aslandogdu, the 17 years old British-Turkish actress resemble the character look.
Peter Pevensie

For the big brother of the Pevensies, Kit Connor will do. With his dirt-sand hair, now grew up this 16 years old British actor would make a just Peter.
Aslan
The White Witch

As we know that the White Witch was literally the same person with Jadis, an ancient witch queen who was appeared in the prequel. Stan Emily Blunt for the same charm.
The Professor

Having age gap between 50 years with the Pevensies, I think a 62 years old Gary Oldman will do the role. He's bright and can be very concincing for a wise smart man.
Mr. Tumnus The Faun

For the kind hearted Mr. Tumnus, we need an adult with friendly face, beardy and has height below 6'. The famous Harry Potter actor, Daniel Radcliffe would make good performance for this.
That was it! Let me know if you have other actors with better resemblance to these characters. See you in The Horse and His Boy episode next time!
